GIS Mapping Center

The GIS Mapping Center serves as the County's official mapping and analysis unit providing GIS consulting and application development services, cartographic expertise, aerial photo analysis, data maintenance, and data conversion support for all County agencies. The GIS Mapping Center works with agency data owners to maintain corporate data including real estate, zoning, census, planimetric, street map, and street network to name but a few.

This unit also creates and maintains a growing list of proprietary GIS data layers which together with the corporate data form the foundation for its GIS analysis and custom mapping services. Data is disseminated to County government offices using a local area network and to the public using an interactive web-enabled mapping solution. Standard, hard copy mapping products and digital data on CD ROM's are available to the public and to the business community at the Customer Service Section.

Interactive Maps: The GIS Mapping Center provides an interactive mapping tool (ACMAPS) to view and query the GIS data. This application provides access to the GIS datasets and has many useful tools.

We also have a tool to view old scanned aerial photos (Photo Viewer). You can click anywhere on the map and it will present you a list of available photo's covering that location. All of the photo's are in PDF format and are approximatly 12 MB in size.
